Career and College Readiness

Adult Basic Education (ABE)
Adult High School (AHS)
General Education Development (GED)
English as a Second Language (ESL) (Spanish)
Engish as Second Language (ESL)  (English)

Career and College Readiness classes are offered for the adult who desires to complete studies for the GED or to review reading, math, and English skills. Instruction is available to the non-reader. Classes are offered both on and off campus. Instruction is individualized and students progress at their own pace. Several businesses and industries sponsor classes for employees.

Before enrolling in a class, an individual must attend a Career and College Readiness Registration Session. Minors (16-17 years of age) may enroll in the program but need to obtain a Minor Release Form to be completed by a parent or legal guardian and the Board of Education before registering. For further information please contact Kathy Garner-Smith, Career and College Readiness Coordinator, at 910-576-6222 ext. 236. Classes are FREE.
