Institutional Effectiveness Plan

 2013 Institutional Effectiveness Plan

Montgomery Community College (MCC) identifies expected outcomes, assesses the extent to which it achieves these outcomes, and provides evidence of improvement based on analysis of the results for its educational programs, administrative support services, and academic and student support services.  The institutional process for outcomes assessment is called the Outcome Assessment Reports (OARs) .  OARs are mission and goal driven and include three types:  (1) Student Learning, (2) Program, and (3) Operational.  MCC does not have  research or community/public service functions, therefore outcomes assessment in these areas is not applicable.  The OARs system was developed and implemented in the 2011-2012 academic year and replaced the former IE Plan system.  The OARs system was developed to better address ongoing assessment of student learning outcomes, (as well as program outcomes), direct measurement of these outcomes, and evidence-based quality improvements.
