Wildland Firefighter Training and Wildland Fire Behavior will be held by the NC Prescribed Fire Training Center located at Montgomery Community College in Troy, North Carolina. This course of study will provide the entry level training necessary to become qualified as a Type 2 wildland firefighter. It will be an introduction to wildland fire behavior as it relates to fuels, weather, and topography. Additionally, it will provide training in basic firefighter skills.
There is no charge for the class. A minimal charge of $13.95 will be made for Student Workbooks, Handbooks, and Guides that will be the property of the student.
