College Costs

TUITION

Tuition and registration fees, set by the North Carolina State Board of Community College and the General Assembly, are subject to change. Tuition and fees are payable at registration.

In-state ................................................................. $69.00 per credit hour

Out-of-state ............................................................ $261.00 per credit hour

North Carolina residents, age 65 or older, may enroll for up to six credit hours of credit instruction and one course of non-credit instruction per academic semester with  no tuition. The tuition waiver does not apply when students over age 65 are enrolled under the Course Repetition Policy or in Self-Supporting Classes. If a senior citizen receives a waiver for a course and then subsequently drops the course after the first day of class, the waiver is considered used and cannot be applied toward another course. This tuition waiver is established by the North Carolina State Board of Community Colleges and the General Assembly and is subject to change.

Community college students desiring to enroll in two or more colleges without paying additional tuition must provide a letter from the "home" college stating the enrollment and tuition status as outlined in the Concurrent Enrollment Policy.
