Accounting

Students may choose from the day or evening degree, diploma, or certificate in Accounting.

The curriculum is designed to prepare students for entry-level positions in the accounting field. Some of the settings in which students find employment include: accounting firms, small businesses, manufacturing firms, banks, hospitals, school systems and government agencies.

Successful graduates may attain employment as accounts receivable/accounts payable clerks, internal auditors, cost accountants and most entry-level business positions. With work experience and additional education, individuals may advance in the accounting profession.

Students may choose from a number of traditional, fully online or hybrid courses. (Hybrids are courses that incorporate both classroom and online components.)

Extracurricular Activities

The Business Technologies Club is a voluntary campus organization comprised of students, faculty and staff at MCC. The club works to provide students with opportunities to promote their profession in the community, to participate in fundraisers and outreach activities, and to learn about people and agencies that play a vital role in the business world.
